Some ideas for fundraising
At schools :
the children can pay to come to school in mufti - free dress day with a gold coin donation
movie matinee at school and charge admission
guess how many lollies or apples or sultanas in a jar
set up a display in the library and ask for donations to view the show
ask local business to support the cause with prizes or donations
throw a talent quest with all entry fees
have a prominent personality in the school state that if the school reaches a set amount that they will eat a frog, (freddo of course) but hold up a real frog for the initial anouncement
head shaving / leg waxing
letters to the editor of a local paper
hold a sausage sizzle and/or have a stall with different foods from around the world
sell "get out of homework" vouchers
get airplay on a local radio station
have a record breaking athon i.e. hugs, stuff people into a small car, dance athon
chalk drawings of Kids in Kenya - pay to enter - best drawing goes up on this website
make an African type village model out of cardboard on the school parade ground or hall
hold a rice replacement lunch
