I have presented our Kids in Kenya project by invitation at some schools and clubs in New South Wales and South East Queensland.

This is a letter of appreciation from one of the teachers at Kimberley Park State School, Queensland:

"Dear Simon,IMG_3303 We would just like to say an enormous thank you to you and Pauline (and your wife of course!) for the fantastic talk today.  Our kids couldn't stop talking about it, and there were a few in tears, including the teachers!  We are doing other cultures and countries in our issue this term, so it was perfect timing!  People like Pauline are an inspiration, and she makes you want to drop what you are doing and join her.  Our children wanted to give everything they could think of after the talk, and some of them stuck rubbers, pens and pencils to their letters to Pauline. It was very touching.

Thank you so much for organizing this for us and we look forward to promoting a fund raiser for this project!
Deanna and Lyn"

This is a small and personal project to help schools and children in a very underprivileged area in Northern Kenya on the shores of Lake Victoria.

I should be happy to speak to you about the project, with a view to:

IMG_3267

  • present the project to your students
  • discuss the possibility of your school “twinning” with one of the schools in that area
  • discuss other forms of help which your school, children and parents might give.

If you feel that you would like me to come to your school and give a small talk and show some pictures of the children of Kenya as well as some fun animal pictures please contact me.  The presentation will be tailor-made to suit particular age groups.
